Breaking News—Melissa Data Announces Release of Presort Object with PAVE Gold Certification

Melissa Data, a provider of data quality and address management solutions, has announced that the latest release of Presort Object, a developer's API for postal presorting, has received USPS PAVE Gold certification for PAVE Cycle K.

PAVE certification is granted by the USPS following an extensive evaluation of the software to determine its accuracy in sorting address files according to the requirements set forth in the Domestic Mail Manual (DMM). Gold certification ensures a higher level of compliance with postal regulations because the software has passed an extra round of tests above and beyond the standard PAVE protocol.

"We are very happy about this certification. It's not just that it was PAVE-certified but PAVE Gold-certified, so that is the highest level of certification," Greg Brown, marketing director of Melissa Data, tells 5 Minute Briefing. Presort Object helps service bureaus and end-users reduce postage costs by up to 35%, and it gives integrators the flexibility to configure mailing parameters once, then run the mailing process automatically without a computer operator to streamline operations and save on manual labor.

Presort Object is available as a stand-alone solution to sort mailing lists according to USPS standards for First-Class and Standard Mail. Presort Object can be easily combined with other Melissa Data products for address correction and standardization, move update processing, and duplicate elimination, providing a quickly realized return on investment.  This certification is particularly important, notes Brown, to large mailers, such as credit card companies and financial and banking institutions that do numerous mailings and would like to cut down on the manual labor that is usually associated with getting a mailing processed.
