Dataguise Now Supports Sensitive Data Discovery on Amazon Platforms

Dataguise through its DgSecure platform is now supporting sensitive data discovery on Amazon Redshift and Amazon RDS, as well as Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3).

The platform will now scan for sensitive information stored on Amazon Redshift, RDS, and S3 and provide ongoing monitoring of sensitive data in S3 throughout its lifecycle.

“The requirements of the capacity are changing to real-time,” said Venkat Subramanian, CTO at Dataguise. “It’s really hard to keep up with.”

The solution features sensitive asset provisioning on the Amazon Elastic Map Reduce (Amazon EMR) platform so users have access to sensitive data hosted in these environments through DgSecure role-based access policies.

DgSecure helps data-driven enterprises move to the cloud by detecting, protecting, auditing, and monitoring sensitive information (e.g., PII, PHI, PCI data) across on-premises and cloud-based environments.

The next set of plans for the future is to extend security capabilities, including detection, masking, and encryption, to native technologies in Amazon AWS, Subramanian said.

“Going forward it looks like there’s a fairly large intended move in going to the cloud and we want to stay ahead of the game,” Subramanian said.
