Dataguise and Snowflake Partner to Provide Compliance Readiness for Regulated Organizations

Dataguise and Snowflake have announced that Dataguise’s DgSecure software has been integrated into Snowflake’s cloud-based data warehousing platform to provide an end-to-end solution for compliance-ready data analytics to joint enterprise customers impacted by high levels of governmental oversight.

According to Dataguise, DgSecure is widely deployed by Global 2000 organizations with multi-petabyte data repositories concerned with data privacy compliance, particularly consumer privacy. The solution allows for the identification of all personal and sensitive data, including names, identification numbers, location data, online identifiers or factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of a natural person using a combination of machine learning and behavioral analytics.

With Dataguise, enterprises gain access to a solution that can be used for private, safe, responsible, and compliant data analytics that meet and exceed GDPR requirements. The GDPR compliance-enablement features of DgSecure support organizational requirements to detect and document the location and status of all European customer data. The solution helps businesses to inform individuals of personal data held about them (Right to be Informed) and supports pseudonymization (masking), encryption, or deletion (Right of Erasure). Additionally, it provides data breach reporting when security lapses occur – which are now mandatory and must be issued within 72 hours of the breach.

Compliance with privacy laws continues to be a significant concern, particularly in light of the GDPR regulation, said JT Sison, VP, Worldwide Business Development & Marketing.

With the integration of Dataguise and Snowflake technology, joint customers will now have assurance that their data is protected in a programming-free format that involves minimal time to install and manage, and scales to multiple petabyte production environments so they can meet security and compliance requirements, Sison added.
