Revelation Software Wraps Up Successful 2013 User Conference in Nashville

Revelation Software recently held its user conference in Nashville, Tenn. Among the highlights at this year’s event were opening remarks by Revelation president and CEO Mike Ruane, followed by a keynote by Billy Kirsch, a motivational speaker with a Nashville flair. In lieu of a vendor fair  this year, there was an evening "mixer" event featuring product demos set up on laptops, enabling attendees to mingle in a more casual setting.

“At the conference, we really emphasize training,”  Robert Catalano, director of sales at Revelation, tells DBTA. This year, particular emphasis was placed on O4W training. In addition to teaching attendees how to write mobile apps using O4W, one customer – Megamation – showcased how it was able to develop a complete mobile app using O4W. As usual though, Catalano said, the Revelation staff and customers also managed to mix business with pleasure, spending an evening at the Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville learning to line dance.

Plans are already underway for the next conference which will take place in Q4 2014 or Q1 2015, after the 10.0 release of the company's flagship product, OpenInsight, says Catalano. Possible venues for the next user event are San Diego, Charlotte, Charleston, West Palm Beach and Chicago and Revelation will be polling this year's attendees on their preferences, according to Catalano.
