SQLVOX Files Patent Application for Techniques to Integrate Oracle Databases and Third-Party Technologies

SQLVOX LLC has announced that it has filed a patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office to cover the methods and techniques developed by the company that facilitate the integration of third-party technologies with Oracle databases.  SQLVOX LLC is the publisher of SQL*VOX, an Oracle-based computer telephony integration and telecommunications development platform.

According to the vendor, SQL*VOX implements a unique PL/SQL-based API that provides a direct integration pathway to Dialogic technology and hardware.

The techniques and methods developed allow for the easy integration of any third-party technology into an Oracle database, states Steven Guilford, founder of SQLVOX LLC, of the patent-pending technology. According to Guilford, this makes possible an array of capabilities that can be built into the database by programmers through the ability to directly interface to any callable third-party API through a PL/SQL package gateway.

"The techniques and methods developed allow for the easy integration of any third-party technology into a database. One could conceivably interface directly to an API to control a robotic autonomous automobile from an Oracle database," says Guilford.
