Unitrends Unveils New Hybrid Cloud Backup Appliances

Unitrends, a provider of all-in-one enterprise backup and continuity solutions, has made enhancements to models in its Recovery Series appliance family, a collection of physical backup appliances with deduplicated capacity ranging from 2TB to 3.6PB.

The purpose-built backup appliances have been constructed from the ground up to address demanding IT infrastructure challenges and deliver improved application, hypervisor, operating system, server, and storage protection.

The next-generation backup appliances offer integrated hybrid cloud capabilities – disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) with Unitrends Cloud; data security capabilities; a 100% storage I/O bandwidth increase; 25-50% higher density; and an up to 10x increase in network performance. The appliances also offer increases in  backup copy I/O storage bandwidth, Tiered flash/solid state storage for optimized performance, scalability, and reliability, and Integrated and connected predictive analytics that increase customer's ROI.
