IBM’s Ongoing Love Affair with the Mainframe

Mobile and security are two hot button topics for almost any IT professional. It is with these two issues in mind that IBM hopes the new z Systems will stand out.  
“Most mobile transactions result in some access to mainframe-resident data being triggered,” Richard Fichera, vice president and principal analyst with Forrester Research, told Fortune in the article “Why IBM is still hot and bothered over mainframes.” 

The increase in mobile transactions is no problem for z13, which was designed with the mobile generation in mind, and is considered the safest, fastest mainframe yet.
