A new survey of 1,800 enterprise developers conducted by the Eclipse Foundation finds cloud is the destination of choice for just about all applications these days. The survey which was conducted among developers working with the Jakarta EE platform—known until recently as Java Platform, Enterprise Edition—finds many organizations run up to one-fifth of their applications today in a cloud, but expect to be running 60% or more of their applications in the cloud within the next 2 years.
