There's almost unanimous agreement that availability and performance are the most important services data shops can deliver. Big data keeps getting bigger, and growing faster by the year. A new study sponsored by Quest Software finds that databases continue to expand in size and complexity, while at the same time, more enterprises are turning to cloud-based resources to keep information highly available.

NGINX, Inc., will partner with IBM to support its solution, NGINX Plus, for the IBM Cloud Private platform. NGINX Plus, the enterprise version of the NGINX open source software already integrated into IBM Cloud Private, allows companies to deliver their applications with a commercially supported Ingress controller along with advanced functionality needed for scaling production Kubernetes environments.

Tufin, a provider of Network Security Policy Orchestration solutions, is introducing Tufin Orca, a cloud-based solution that enables users to extend Tufin's policy-based approach to secure containers and microservices. Tufin Orca is available through an early access program that is now open. The solution integrates with DevOps teams' CI/CD tools to scan for threats, secure containers, and comply with regulations.
