Oracle released new versions of several of its engineered systems which provide tightly integrated hardware and software. The company has introduced the Exadata X6 Database Machine, as well as updates to the Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance and SuperCluster M7.

Sisense has announced improvements in its In-Chip Analytics software to help business users and data analysts more easily gain insights from complex data with disparate datasets. According to the vendor, when tested with Intel's recently-released 6th Generation Intel Core vPro processor, it was able to deliver a 300% improvement in speed over older chips.

Splunk Inc., a provider operational intelligence solutions, is introducing a new version of its enterprise platform along with a new cloud offering. "We've optimized storage costs for long-term data retention. This will allow customers to keep data in Splunk for much longer periods of time and reduce their storage costs for that data," said Shay Mowlem, vice president of product marketing and management.
