Best Cloud Solution

Business agility and reduced cost are leading reasons that companies are adopting cloud technologies and hybrid cloud approaches.  Although security was initially a key obstacle standing in the way, increasingly that concern is dissipating while advantages in agility and cost reduction become leading drivers for the move to the cloud.

According to 451 Research, by 2019, more than half (60%) of workloads will be deployed in cloud environments, including on-premises private clouds, hosted private clouds, IaaS and SaaS. Its research shows a trend toward cloud-based workload deployment (on-premises private cloud, hosted private cloud, IaaS and SaaS), increasing from 45% today to 60% by 2019.

According to a Harvard Business Review Analytic Services Survey, the top drivers for cloud adoption are business agility and flexibility, reducing cost and maximizing investment, ability to manage security, systems reliability and availability, and the ability to manage, analyze, act on, and share data.

In addition, an IDC white paper, titled “The Power of Hybrid Cloud” notes that nearly 80% of large organizations with 1,000 or more employees already have a hybrid cloud strategy in place, and 51%  of respondents are using both public and private  cloud infrastructure, while  29% expect to do so in the next year.

A recent Intel research report found that trust now outnumbers distrust for public clouds by more than 2-to-1, and states that, “Improved trust and perception, as well as increased understanding of the risks by senior management, is encouraging more organizations to store sensitive data in the public cloud.” Personal customer information is the most likely type of data to be stored in public clouds, maintained there by 62% of those surveyed.
