Every year, thousands of data experts and professionals from over 100 different countries converge at Oracle OpenWorld in San Francisco to discover the newest updates to Oracle’s ecosystem of technologies. This year the event takes place on October 22–25, 2018.

Designed for attendees who want to connect, learn, explore and be inspired, Oracle OpenWorld offers more than 2,200 educational sessions led by more than 2,000 customers and partners sharing their experiences, first hand.

With hundreds of demos and hands-on labs, plus exhibitions from more than 400 partners and customers from around the world, Oracle OpenWorld has become a showcase for leading cloud technologies, from Cloud Applications to Cloud Platform and Infrastructure.

The event provides many opportunities for entertainment and networking through Oracle and user-group sponsored events—including performances by Beck, Portugal. The Man, and Bleachers at Oracle CloudFest.18.

Oracle has curated content into targeted focus areas to help attendees get the most from the OpenWorld event experience. This year the event is homing in on: your cloud upgrade roadmap, your autonomous future, the data explosion, transformational technologies, actionable business insights, bulletproofing the business, modernizing IT operations, connected and intelligent suites, tomorrow’s ERP today, the changing workforce, modernizing the supply chain, the evolving customer experience, and training and support.

Here, we present insight from leaders of three major Oracle users' groups—Jon Vaughn, CEO of Quest Oracle Community; Christine Hipp, president, Oracle Applications Users Group; and Seth Miller, director of the IOUG board—on what they have planned for members at Oracle OpenWorld 2018.
