Think About It

IBM is moving the mainframe forward with new offerings that offer security, scaling and storage. However, a looming obstacle is the potential shortage of mainframe skills. While SHARE and IBM have been building strong programs in universities and even high schools. Some industry experts advise finding ways of retaining talent that would otherwise be retiring - such as creating consulting or advisory rolls for seasoned mainframe talent.
