Esri, a provider of location intelligence, now supports the SAP Cloud Platform, SAP HANA service, making it the first database as a service that is supported by Esri ArcGIS technology. Organizations can now run SAP HANA as the underlying multimodel database service for the ArcGIS system of record and take advantage of increased performance, lower total cost of ownership, and easier integration of enterprise data with spatial data either on premise, in the cloud, or in a hybrid deployment.

Hitachi Vantara is releasing Pentaho 8.3, introducing a series of features designed to support DataOps initiatives. This latest version delivers improved data agility from customers' edge-to-multicloud environments while facilitating privacy, security, and overall data governance.

SAP is further deepening its commitment to the developer and open source community with the contribution of UI5 Web Components, a comprehensive library for Web developers. This library enables them to create enterprise-grade Web applications more easily.

Snow Software, a provider of technology intelligence solutions, is releasing a new suite of offerings to better enable customers to address their growing IT operations, cloud shift, and digital transformation challenges. Included in the offering is the Adoption Tracker product, which enables discovery, inventory, and normalization of all digital technology assets, with a hybrid approach that covers everything from freemium SaaS applications to enterprise systems such as Oracle.

Think About It

Ransomware attacks faded from the headlines after the notorious WannaCry outbreak in 2017 and the frequency of attacks declined in 2018.
