IBM intends to make Docker Enterprise Edition (EE) available for Linux on IBM z Systems, LinuxONE, and Power Systems. Docker EE, a new version of Docker's container management platform, is designed to give developers and systems administrators a streamlined approach to building, running, and operating applications at scale.

IBM announced first-quarter earnings results, with traditional software and hardware solutions slumping, while next-generation offerings surged. The company's first-quarter cloud revenues increased 33% to $3.5 billion, totaling $14.6 billion for the last 12 months.

MuleSoft, a provider of platforms for building application networks, has introduced Crowd, a solution that features a set of collaboration capabilities that enable the creation, saving, discovery, and reuse of APIs and other integration assets. The solution runs within MuleSoft's Anypoint API platform.

Vanguard Integrity Professionals said it is shipping a solution for its enterprise cybersecurity software suite intended to deliver expert-level vulnerability assessments of z/OS Security Server configuration controls and security settings with the ability to quickly produce audit results.
