Barracuda Networks, a provider of cloud-enabled security and data protection solutions, has added the ability to replicate data from either an on-premises physical or virtual backup appliance to AWS. The new feature provides customers, resellers, and MSPs with greater flexibility and choice to protect their data from data loss and potential disasters, including security threats like ransomware. This adds an additional option for customers, in addition to the ability to replicate to the Barracuda Cloud.

Revelation will be hosting its user conference from April 18 through April 21, at the Omni Orlando Resort at Championsgate in Orlando, Florida. "We always want to choose a popular vacation destination to do our conferences. Orlando is a great convention city. We even moved our conference schedule up by a day, so that gives everyone an extra day on the weekend to take in the Orlando sights," noted Robert Catalano, director of sales with Revelation Software.

In 1965, Dick Pick and Don Nelson originally implemented PICK as the "Generalized Information Retrieval Language System" (GIRLS) on an IBM System/360 at TRW for use by the U.S. Army to control the inventory of Cheyenne helicopter parts. That was 50 years ago and MultiValue is still thriving today. It is a testament to the quality and flexibility of the technology for it to be going strong 50 years after its creation. Coincidentally, Rocket Software is also marking a significant event as it celebrates 25 years in business.
