IBM and Palantir Technologies have announced a new partnership consisting of IBM's hybrid cloud data platform designed to deliver AI for business, with Palantir's next-generation operations platform for building applications. A new product as a result of the partnership, Palantir for IBM Cloud Pak for Data, is planned for general availability in March of 2021 and is designed to help businesses in retail, financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, and telecommunications use AI to make more informed business decisions and automate outcomes.

TigerGraph, provider of a leading graph analytics platform, announced it has raised $105 million in Series C funding, empowering the company to innovate to better support its customers. According to the vendor, this is the largest funding round to date within the graph database and analytics market. The round was led by Tiger Global and brings TigerGraph's total funding raised to over $170 million.

Oracle has added new logistics capabilities within Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM). The last year tested supply chains to a breaking point and exposed the limitations of older, on-premises systems that don't provide the flexibility organizations need to run efficient logistics operations, said Chris Cunnane, research director, supply chain management, ARC Advisory Group. Delphix, provider of programmable data infrastructure, is offering new capabilities that close critical data gaps against ransomware attacks. "You can drive a truck through the holes in legacy ransomware solutions," said Jedidiah Yueh, CEO of Delphix. "Once-a-day backups are insufficient. Companies can't afford to lose a day's worth of transactional data. In addition, closed-box backup approaches fail to safeguard against undetected attacks, sometimes for months. Starburst, the analytics anywhere company, is receiving $100 million in Series C funding, enabling the company to expand upon its single point of access mission. This recent financing bringing the three-year-old company's total to $164 million and valuation to $1.2 billion. The financing round was led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Salesforce Ventures, as well as existing investors Coatue and Index Ventures.
