IBM and Palantir Technologies have announced a new partnership consisting of IBM's hybrid cloud data platform designed to deliver AI for business, with Palantir's next-generation operations platform for building applications. A new product as a result of the partnership, Palantir for IBM Cloud Pak for Data, is planned for general availability in March of 2021 and is designed to help businesses in retail, financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, and telecommunications use AI to make more informed business decisions and automate outcomes.

TigerGraph, provider of a leading graph analytics platform, announced it has raised $105 million in Series C funding, empowering the company to innovate to better support its customers. According to the vendor, this is the largest funding round to date within the graph database and analytics market. The round was led by Tiger Global and brings TigerGraph's total funding raised to over $170 million.

"You can drive a truck through the holes in legacy ransomware solutions," said Jedidiah Yueh, CEO of Delphix. "Once-a-day backups are insufficient. Companies can't afford to lose a day's worth of transactional data. In addition, closed-box backup approaches fail to safeguard against undetected attacks, sometimes for months. Companies need an open-box detection approach, especially for mission-critical data."
