IBM and Cegid, a provider of performance-enhancing cloud management solutions, announced an enterprise services agreement to enhance Cegid's service delivery in a hybrid IBM Cloud environment. On June 20th, the Microsoft SQL Server team dropped the most recent release of SQL Operations Studio to the public. This is just one of many, many product announcements that demonstrate Microsoft's very serious commitment to interoperability and to meeting the needs of their customers wherever they reside, even if that's outside of the Microsoft ecosystem. One of the hallmarks of SQL Operations Studio, compared to the venerable SQL Server Management Studio, is that it's lightweight and expandable.

Oracle has announced availability of the Internet Intelligence Map which provides users with a simple, graphical way to track the health of the internet and gain insight into the impact of events such as natural disasters or state-imposed interruptions. Oracle's Internet Intelligence team frequently publishes data and analysis that informs public understanding of the technical underpinnings of the internet and its effects on topics like geopolitics and e-commerce. With the new availability of the Internet Intelligence Map, Oracle says it is now making core analytic capabilities available to everyone.
