VAST Data, the storage software company, announced it is broadening its international expansion plans, continuing to disrupt and modernize the legacy storage infrastructure market. VAST has opened up operations in the UK, France, Germany, Israel, Turkey, Czech Republic, Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, and Korea. These will now be followed by further expansion across EMEA with Benelux, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and the Nordics, and in Asia with Japan.

NVIDIA announced that its AI Enterprise 1.1 is now generally available, bringing new updates including production support for containerized AI with the NVIDIA software on VMware vSphere with Tanzu, which was previously only available on a trial basis. Now, enterprises can run accelerated AI workloads on vSphere, running in both Kubernetes containers and virtual machines with NVIDIA AI Enterprise to support advanced AI development on mainstream IT infrastructure.

Vista Equity Partners, a global investment firm focused exclusively on enterprise software, data, and technology-enabled businesses, and Evergreen Coast Capital, an affiliate of Elliott Investment Management L.P., have entered into a deal to acquire Citrix in an all-cash transaction valued at $16.5 billion. Vista and Evergreen intend to combine Citrix and TIBCO Software, one of Vista's portfolio companies. The companies say this union will create one of the world's largest software providers, serving 400,000 customers, including 98% of the Fortune 500, with 100 million users in 100 countries.

Oracle has announced the availability of its first cloud region in Africa to meet the rapidly growing demand for enterprise cloud services on the continent. MinIO Inc., creators of the MinIO multi-cloud object storage suite, announced it has raised $103 million in Series B funding at a $1 billion valuation, enabling the company to accelerate multi-cloud storage adoption. The investment was led by Intel Capital with participation from new investor SoftBank Vision Fund 2, and existing investors Dell Technologies Capital, General Catalyst, and Nexus Venture Partners. This financing brings MinIO's total funding raised to $126 million.

Global cloud services provider Ridge announced it has secured $22 million in early-stage funding, enabling the company to extend cloud services to locations where there is a gap in public cloud coverage, or to applications for which a public cloud is not a great fit. The funding round was lead by Gigi Levy-Weiss at NFX. NFX led the Seed round and also participated in the Series A led by Chartered Group. Mayfield, Slow Ventures, and Viola also contributed to the investment round.

Firebolt, the cloud data warehouse for builders of next-gen analytics experiences, has announced a $100 million Series C funding round, reaching a $1.4 billion valuation. This latest round of funding brings its total investment to $269 million. The new funding will enable Firebolt to capitalize on the demand from tech companies to build analytics-enabled products.
