Amazon Web Services is releasing io2, the next generation Provisioned IOPS SSD volumes for Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS). The new io2 volume is designed for 100x higher volume durability (99.999%) when compared to the 99.9% durability offered by io1 Amazon EBS volumes, according to AWS.

FileZilla is a fast, secure, and reliable file transfer tool, making it a great pairing with Tardigrade, according to the vendors. Oracle has announced its San Jose Cloud Region, marking the company's 25th Cloud Region worldwide. The opening is part of Oracle's plan to add 11 Cloud Regions by July 2021, bringing its total to 36. Now, North American customers and partners on the west coast have regional access to all of the company's cloud services, including Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Autonomous Linux, as well as Oracle Cloud Applications. The San Jose site also houses the sixth multi-cloud interconnection between Oracle and Microsoft Azure.
