Several events each year, such as Microsoft Build in the late spring and Microsoft Ignite in the fall, were traditionally marked by a bevy of new product features and previews. In the old days, it was important to link new features to conferences because you had to press tens of thousands of CDs or DVDs to ensure widespread distribution. Oracle has attained FedRAMP High Provisional Authority to Operate (P-ATO) from the Joint Authorization Board (JAB) and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Impact Level 5 (IL5) accreditation for IaaS and PaaS, which include an extended set of cloud services for government customers to leverage, including Oracle Digital Assistant and Oracle Cloud VMware Solution, to boost efficiency without straining budgets or compromising security.

Palo Alto Networks, a global cybersecurity leader, announced it has developed a virtual next-generation firewall (NGFW) designed to be accelerated by NVIDIA's BlueField data processing unit (DPU) to fight cybercrime. The DPU accelerates packet filtering and forwarding by offloading traffic from the host processor to dedicated hardware that is separate from the server CPU. The solution delivers the intrusion prevention and advanced security capabilities of Palo Alto Networks' virtual NGFWs to every server without sacrificing network performance.

Dubbed CodeFlare, the platform is an open source framework for simplifying the integration and efficient scaling of big data and AI workflows onto the hybrid cloud built on top of Ray, an emerging open source distributed computing framework for machine learning applications. CodeFlare extends the capabilities of Ray by adding specific elements to make scaling workflows easier.

Airbyte, creators of a fast-growing open-source data integration platform, is releasing an open source data integration for data lakes, enabling AWS users to replicate data from anywhere to their Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) account.
