Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the general availability of Amazon MSK Serverless, a new serverless option for Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (Amazon MSK) that instantly scales resources to meet an application's demand, vastly simplifying real-time data ingestion and streaming. MSK Serverless also provides additional secure features out of the box, such as private connectivity, so that the traffic doesn't leave the AWS backbone, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) access control, and encryption of data at rest and in transit, which keeps it secure.

Google and Pick Cloud's partnership continues to benefit members of the MultiValue community by investing in the planet and reducing carbon footprints. Google data centers are already carbon neutral. Each Google data center is twice as energy efficient as a typical enterprise data center. They deliver six times as much computing power for the same amount of electrical power, compared to five years ago, according to the vendor.

Software intelligence company Dynatrace has extended its advanced AIOps capabilities for leading database environments, including Oracle and Microsoft SQL. New out-of-the-box extensions enable DevOps teams and DBAs to automatically surface and proactively act on real-time answers about the relationship between their database infrastructure and applications. Dynatrace database observability for Oracle is generally available now. Support for Microsoft SQL Server will be generally available within 90 days, and support for additional database platforms will be announced later in 2022.

DC BLOX, a provider of data centers across the Southeast, has announced the expansion of its Birmingham, AL and Greenville, SC data centers. The rapid growth in two of DC BLOX's most recent markets reflects strong local demand for core data center and connectivity infrastructure. IBM has announced a multi-million-dollar investment in its resources to help businesses prepare for and manage the growing threat of cyberattacks to organizations across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The centerpiece of this investment is the new IBM Security Command Center for training cybersecurity response techniques through simulated cyberattacks—designed to prepare everyone from C-Suite through technical staff. IBM Security has released its annual X-Force Threat Intelligence Index unveiling how ransomware and vulnerability exploitations together were able to hurt businesses in 2021, further burdening global supply chains, with manufacturing emerging as the most targeted industry.IBM Security X-Force said that while phishing was the most common cause of cyberattacks in general in the past year, it observed a 33% increase in attacks caused by vulnerability exploitation of unpatched software.
