TIBCO Software has announced the release of TIBCO WebFOCUS 9.0.0, which adds new capabilities such as TIBCO WebFOCUS Container Edition and a Hub for a personalized user experience, along with enhancements for TIBCO WebFOCUS Designer. DC BLOX, a provider of data centers across the Southeast, has announced the expansion of its Birmingham, AL and Greenville, SC data centers. The rapid growth in two of DC BLOX's most recent markets reflects strong local demand for core data center and connectivity infrastructure. The Greenville facility is adding its second data hall since announcing its official opening in January of 2022, while Birmingham will deploy DC BLOX's newest design to accommodate the need for High-Performance Compute (HPC) applications in its market.

BMC has announced new capabilities and integrations across its BMC AMI (Automated Mainframe Intelligence) and BMC Compuware portfolios. These innovations are aimed at increasing developer productivity, helping to predict service impacts, and helping to prevent attackers from compromising mainframe environments. Separately, BMC also recently announced day one support for the IBM Db2 13 and IBM z16 releases.

IBM has announced Db2 13 for z/OS, which, the company says, enhances the availability, security and resiliency of data and applications. According to IBM, Db2 13 for z/OS provides the ability to develop large-scale AI-insights through an innovative, database-integrated approach, infuse AI within any application to improve operations and reduce costs, and enhance resiliency, efficiency, and application stability for maximum availability. Availability is planned for May 31, 2022.

Oracle has announced that Oracle MySQL HeatWave now supports in-database machine learning (ML) in addition to the previously available transaction processing and analytics. MySQL HeatWave ML fully automates the ML lifecycle and stores all trained models inside the MySQL database, eliminating the need to move data or the model to a machine learning tool or service. Eliminating ETL reduces application complexity, lowers cost, and improves security of both the data and the model. HeatWave ML is included with the MySQL HeatWave database cloud service in all 37 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) regions.
