Dell EMC has announced data protection capabilities designed to help enterprises streamline IT management and data governance for VMware environments. The new release adds support for Oracle and SQL Server databases. According to Dell EMC, application and database owners can now have self-service data protection capabilities for applications and databases from within their native GUI tools while remaining fully compliant with governance, service-level objectives (SLOs), and oversight of the IT data protection regime for Oracle and SQL Server databases.
