Software AG has unveiled the latest version of its open, cloud-based Cumulocity IoT platform (Release 9), which builds on a distributed architecture with additional edge processing capabilities. Cumulocity IoT now includes enhanced high availability, multi-cluster deployment options, as well as code-free integration of devices supporting Low Power WAN (LPWAN) technologies used for long-term low bandwidth remote monitoring, including Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT), Lightweight M2M (LWM2M), and Long Range (LoRa).

MapR Technologies has extended advanced containers integration into the MapR Converged Data Platform. The company is enabling the deployment of stateful applications with its Data Fabric for Kubernetes providing persistent storage and full Kubernetes support with volume access. Intel announced it has begun shipping its Intel Stratix 10 TX FPGAs, which it claims to be one of the industry's only field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) with 58G PAM4 transceiver technology.
