Leading storage vendors have recently added support for Symantec's industry standard Thin Reclamation AP, Symantec announced. Greenplum Software, a data infrastructure company, has introduced what it calls the industry's first commercially available "Enterprise Data Cloud" platform. Called Greenplum Chorus, the solution offers self-service provisioning, data collaboration and data services features to complement traditional enterprise data warehouses. "Greenplum Chorus is a distributed software platform that is run on premises within an enterprise — potentially spanning multiple data centers and encompassing tens or hundreds of warehouses and marts," Ben Werther, director of product management for Greenplum, tells 5 Minute Briefing. Oracle today announced the latest release of its Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) System, Release 11.1.2. Today Informatica Corporation announced the availability of a new independent research study entitled "Information, Unplugged: 2009 OAUG ResearchLine Survey on Enterprise Application Information Lifecycle Management." Oracle Corporation announced a new release of Tuxedo, an application server intended for rehosting mainframe-class C/C++ and COBOL applications in open or distributed system environments. The newly announced version, Oracle Tuxedo 11g, is designed to maintain a quality of service level comparable to an IBM mainframe system. Tuxedo - acquired as part of the BEA acquisition last year - is now considered part of Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g.
