IBM has announced COBOL for Linux on x86 1.1, bringing IBM's COBOL compilation technologies and capabilities to the Linux on x86 environment. "COBOL for Linux on x86 1.1 is the latest addition to the IBM COBOL compiler family, which includes Enterprise COBOL for z/OS and COBOL for AIX. COBOL for Linux on x86 is a productive and powerful development environment for building and modernizing COBOL applications," IBM said.

(AWS), for both classical and quantum computers. The SaaS service eliminates the need for complex quantum programming. Google Cloud has announced that Database Migration Service (DMS) is generally available to support enterprises migrating their business infrastructure, and their databases, to the cloud. "We're excited to announce that Google Cloud's Database Migration Service (DMS) is generally available, supporting MySQL and PostgreSQL migrations from on-premises and other clouds to Cloud SQL. Later this year we will introduce support for Microsoft SQL Server," said Shachar Guz, product manager.

Redis Labs has closed $110 million in financing led by a new investor, Tiger Global, which brings the company's valuation to more than $2 billion. The company's Series G round also includes participation from another new investor, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, and existing Redis Labs investor TCV. Additionally, Tiger, SoftBank, and TCV acquired additional ownership as part of a $200 million secondary transaction.
