Oracle Data Vault has introduced support for collecting audit data from IBM DB2 for Linux, Unix and Windows (IBM DB2) and Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) database servers. Oracle had previously announced Audit Vault's capability to collect audit data from Microsoft SQL Server, in addition to Oracle Databases. As a result of the new capability, Oracle Audit Vault now captures audit data from IBM DB2 versions 8.2 and 9.5 and Sybase ASE versions 12.5 and 15.0, in addition to Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005 and Oracle Database 11g.

IBM announced today results from its annual 2008 "X-Force Trend and Risk" report, which found that corporations are unwittingly putting their own customers at risk for cybercriminal activity.
