Siemens, IBM, and Red Hat have announced a new collaboration. Through the joint initiative, Siemens Digital Industries Software will apply IBM's open hybrid cloud approach, built on Red Hat OpenShift, to extend the deployment flexibility of MindSphere, the industrial IoT as a service solution from Siemens. This will enable customers to run MindSphere on-premise, unlocking speed and agility in factory and plant operations, as well as through the cloud for seamless product support, updates and enterprise connectivity.

Oracle announced Blockchain Tables in 21c in January 2021, and later made it available on 19c as well due to customer demand. Oracle is now introducing the ability to use Immutable Tables as well as Blockchain Tables. Immutable Tables, available in April, are insert-only tables and the data is not cryptographically chained.

Oracle Database 21c is now available on Oracle Cloud, including the Always Free tier of Oracle Autonomous Database. The new release contains more than 200 new innovations, including immutable blockchain tables, in-database JavaScript, native JSON binary data type, AutoML for in-database machine learning (ML), and persistent memory store, as well as enhancements for in-memory, graph processing performance, sharding, multitenant, and security. "Oracle Database 21c continues our strategy of delivering the world's most powerful converged database engine," said Andrew Mendelsohn, executive vice president, database server technologies, Oracle.

It handles inventory control, accounts payable, and receivables (and more) and is used for everything except payroll.
